My suit and boots just arrived! Unfortunately, it showed much later than expected, missing my deadline for a promotional photoshoot with a Milly Alcock doppelgänger. I ordered on 2 May and it delivered on 26 May to the USA. Let me explain… but first, the good news: This is not their “Hardcore Top Level (HTL),” but you’d think it was. It only makes me wonder how much more detailed the HTL version is. After a very fortunate chance to see the real, Hollywood prop suit, all I can say is this is as close as you’ll get without burglarizing the WB prop barn. The microperforated jersey material, raised vinyl accoutrements, textured logos and skirt, etc. this thing is almost millimeter perfect, aside from differences caused by custom sizing. Even the boots aren’t just glorified pleather socks… they have rubber soles with a 1.5” chunk heel and full zip. All of the zips are properly placed and hidden. What really got me was the collar detail and cape fastening: it’s an exact duplicate of the Hollywood suit. The upper is a bodysuit made of jersey material. It has excellent airflow but stretch is limited, and for good reason, so choose your size wisely as it doesn’t stretch nearly as much as spandex (Lycra) does. Too much stretch could cause the vinyl piping to tear and separate. Also, the belt is attached with Velcro and not adjustable, so again, size wisely. I bought the 2XS to fit a 4’10” size 0 (US) woman measuring 28D-22-24, 95lbs. She’s a retired gymnast and built like it. It fits her perfectly although it’s a bit tight in the chest according to her. Sorry, no photos from the fitting will be posted but I will update with studio shots once done. Now, the less good news: I thought I was buying “off the rack” as I didn’t send measurements. I also paid for rush shipping to ensure it would arrive for a photo shoot 2 weeks after ordering. I did not order rush processing as the stated 24-48 hours would be fine, or so I thought. Apparently they’re made to order, although I have no confirmation of that, as it sat in processing until 19 May. After that, it took 7 business days (ignoring a holiday since it wouldn’t have delivered then anyways), not the 3-5 I paid for. Granted, I’m not gonna harsh on that since USA politics is crap rn and the likely culprit. However, expecting DHL or UPS to deliver based on their Shipping FAQ page, it delivered via FedEx… so be aware of that. Conclusion: The quality is outstanding and is the only reason I’m willing to forgive all of the misleading processing info leading to a much later than expected arrival. However, next time (yes, there will be a next time very, very soon) I will simply order at least a month in advance and not bother with rush shipping. Unless you’re ordering an entry level costume, it’s probably being made to order and will take much longer than 24-48 hours to process. Lesson learned.Price Quality Value
